Bali – 14 Days Round Trip

Jimbaran

A journey through Bali, island of the gods and 1000 temples. We leave the touristic south behind and explore the center and the east of the island, where Balinese culture is embedded in a breathtaking countryside of active volcanoes, tropical forests, green paddy fields and the blue ocean.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

We pick you up from the airport in Bali’s capital Denpasar and bring you to your hotel at the relaxed Sanur beach.

DAY 2

A day for recovery after the long flight. Enjoy the hotel and its extensive garden, the beach and the warm, calm Ocean. In the afternoon, we take a walk along the Sanur beach promenade.

DAY 3

We start in the morning to watch the wave fountain at the waterblow rock in the South of Bali. From there we continue to Uluwatu, the temple on a cliff overseeing the Indian Ocean. Then we turn north to famous Kuta beach, the touristic part of Bali, to watch beach life and high waves.

DAY 4

We check out of our hotel in Sanur and move eastwards to Candidasa. A stop at Goa Lawah on the way, inhabited by thousands of sacred bats, and at the traditional salt production in Kusamba.

DAY 5

Today we go on an adventurous tour to the Lempuyang Temple, high up in the mountains, with a spectacular view onto the active volcano Mt Agung. In the neighbourhood, at the foot of the mountain, lies the picturesque Waterpalace Taman Ujung.

Muncan Farmerswalk

DAY 6

Muncan Farmers walk: Experience first-hand the tropical countryside and life in Bali on our walk with Suar the farmer and temple guard and his wife Subita. We continue to the ‘mothertemple’ Besakih in the afternoon.

DAY 7

We check out of our hotel in Candidasa and move on to Ubud. The tour takes us up to Kintamani and the Batur volcano first. After lunch at the edge of the crater, we visit Tirta Empul, a temple around sacred water fountains.

DAY 8

A relaxed day in Ubud with a visit to the Pura Saraswati, set within a water garden with thousands of lotus flowers, and the Ubud art market.

DAY 9

We take a trip to the UNESCO heritage rice terraces of Jatiluwih. On the way back say hello to the friendly monkeys in the Sangeh nutmeg forest!

DAY 10

This day is all around traditional art in Bali! Wood carvers in Kemenuh, the Mask and Puppet museum and its beautiful garden, and in the evening a Kecak Firedance performance in Batubulan!

DAY 11

After visiting Ulun Danu temple, floating in a mountain lake, we enjoy the cool air at the twin lakes view, deep in the mountains to the north.

DAY 12

We check out of our hotel in Ubud and move on to the west cost of Denpasar to stay in a luxury, fully accessible villa. Dinner in a trendsetter café!

DAY 13

Sunbathing and a picnic at Canggu beach! In the afternoon we visit Tanah Lot, famous landmark of Bali, the temple on a rock in the Ocean.

Departure from beautiful Bali.
