Palawa is a sleepy village with 11 old tongkonan and 15 granaries, arranged as usual in two parallel rows, aligned in east-west direction: The houses face north, while the granaries face south. The ceremonial ground lies about 350 meters to the east. You can watch weaving on traditional looms in small houses behind the granaries.
It is possible to get directly into the village by car. Paved albeit rough ground makes exploring the village easy. For detailed information with photos about accessibility at Palawa contact us.
